The good news is that the 12 volt DC motor arrived from the USA this week.
It is a Leeson motor and recommended to me from the good folks at Dankoff Pumps.

They supply the Dankoff Solar Force Piston Pump.

I intend installing the electric motor on this Davies B1 pump, which is very similar to the Dankoff.

This pump has been on the property for 17 years and has not been run in that time. So I will strip the Briggs & Stratton engine off it and install the electric motor. Plus completely overhaul the pump with the new valves, gaskets, washers etc. Parts are easy to get and tutorials on You Tube.

After an overhaul and repaint and with a new engine it will be ready to be driven by Solar power.
